How should business entities lay off employees?

In the event of layoff, employer should report the list of laid-off employees to the Department of Labor at least ten days prior to employees leaving their jobs. Upon completing the registration, the Department of Labor will send you the account and password for accessing the online layoff reporting service. Please note the layoff related regulations include termination of labor contract in accordance with Labor Standards Act (Labor Standards Division , ext. 7016-7019), informing of laying off in accordance with Employment Service Act (Employment Securities Division, ext. 7038) and the Protective Act for Mass Redundancy of Employees when laying off employees at a large number (Labor Standards Division , ext. 7016-7019).
