What is the difference between ADSL and FTTH?

ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) employs copper (telephone) lines. It is easier to deploy but yields slower transmission speed. The quality of transmission also declines with the increase in distance. FTTH (Fiber To The Home), on the other hand, adopts optical fiber and is immune to electromagnetic interference as well as allows for long-distance transmission and more stable signals.
