The implementation of the FTTH project involves no government funding. The tender for the FTTH project was conducted in accordance with Article 99 of Government Procurement Act (open for private investment). The commissioned contractor is responsible for the construction of needed infrastructure and operation of the project, as well as the payment of relevant royalties and utilities fees to the City. The operational cost will be covered by Taiwan Intelligent Fiber Optic Network Consortium (Taifo).
