What can be done about parking spaces that are set up illegally?
According to Sub-section 7, Article 82(1) of the Road Traffic Management and Punishment Act, illegally setting up or changing traffic signs, lines, signals or other similar marks or equipment is considered road obstruction. Persons committing such acts should cease immediately and remove the obstruction, and the person or his or her employer should be fined not less than 1200 and not more than 2400 NTD. Please report any such acts to the local police station.
