There is a serious lack of parking spaces. More parking facilities should be built.
In addition to actively building new parking lots based on urban planning and encouraging the private sector to do the same, we also select land for public facilities (such as parks, school playground and food markets) suitable for multiple uses to build parking lots. By doing so, we hope to provide adequate off-street parking spaces. Moreover, to prevent potential parking problems arising from new construction or land development, we review development plans to ensure that new developments include sufficient parking spaces to be self-sufficient.
However, adding parking spaces is not the only way to solve the problem. We also implement parking restrictions, increase the efficiency of parking lots, enhance enforcement of parking regulations, actively develop and improve mass transportation system, and encourage citizens to take public transportation to slow the growth of cars as ways of solving the parking problem.
