Is parking specially allowed at a garbage collection station?
1. According to a resolution of the 18th extraordinary session of the fifth Taipei City Council: As for public parking lots or roadside parking spaces, no organization or individual is allowed to demarcate any special parking space or occupy any parking space for an extended period of time. There is no right to establish special parking spaces for garbage trucks. In any case, Article 113 of the Road Traffic Safety Rules defines a garbage truck as a special vehicle that is not subject to any parking restrictions while on duty.
2. If special parking spaces are required for garbage trucks, the Department of Environmental Protection of Taipei City Government must petition the city council for approval, according to the relevant procedures.
