What percentage of the population travels by public transportation every day in Taipei? What are the future targets? (Planning)

Currently, about 49.4% of Taipei City residents and 34.6% of New Taipei City residents use public transportation every day, according to statistics from the MOTC. After completion of the MRT's planned routes of construction, it is estimated that 60% of residents will use public transportation every day. This is in line with policies promoting its use and will slow the growth of private vehicle numbers.
