TAIPEITRAVEL.NET has remained the top result under Google Search associating with the keyword “臺北” (“Taipei”) for 4 consecutive years.

On January 6, Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) unveiled the visiting statistics on “TAIPEITRAVEL.NET”. The total number of page-views has exceeded 14 million, with 4.49 million unique visitors in 2014. The number of unique visitors has a 32-percent increase compared to that of 2013.

TPEDOIT noted that there has been a tremendous growth in the number of TAIPEITRAVEL.NET page-views and visitors ever since the site received its major interface facelift in 2011. The yearly page-views increased from 8.40 million in 2010 to 14 million in 2014, while the yearly unique visitors jumped from 1.5 million in 2010 to 4.49 million in 2014. Clearly, TAIPEITRAVEL.NET has become the go-to site for any travel related inquiries for Taipei.

TPEDOIT further noted that these statistics were computed from Google Analytics webmaster tools, which provides a more objective statistic. Most of the page views on TAIPEITRAVEL.NET took place between October and December (just before the holiday season), suggesting that more and more people plan for next-year travels towards the end of the year.
