The Taipei City Jiancheng Multipurpose Building has opened its doors to the public! It is a comprehensive social welfare building located next to Taipei's urban lung, Jiancheng Park, filling it with lush, natural greenery. Through public-private collaboration, the building houses a public nursery, youth welfare center, daycare for disabled individuals, senior citizen community care center, youth services center, and borough resident activity center. All of these diverse social welfare services are hosted in the same building. During his address, Mayor Chiang Wan-an remarked that providing citizens with tangible social welfare services is a priority for the city of Taipei. The new building is a social services hub that serves children, disabled individuals, senior citizens, and families in the community. This building offers convenient access to needed services in Datong District, freeing local residents from the hassle of traveling far to secure resources.
