Wenchang Blessings for Peace – Joining Hands to Safeguard Our Homes through Disaster Preparedness “2025 Wenchang Blessings” Community Disaster Preparedness Fair Will Be Grandly Held
The 3rd District HQs of the Taipei City Fire Department, in collaboration with the Zhongshan District Office and Taipei Wenchang Temple, will hold the “2025 Wenchang Blessings” Community Disaster Preparedness Fair at Minxiang Park on Saturday, May 3, at 2:00 PM. Citizens are warmly invited to join this event, enjoy a delightful holiday while also learning essential fire prevention, disaster preparedness knowledge, and emergency response skills. Taipei Wenchang Temple is not only a spiritual sanctuary for worshippers, but also a vital hub for preserving and promoting local cultural heritage. For years, the temple has been dedicated to the promotion of traditional culture and educational values, actively participating in community affairs and organizing local events — consistently demonstrating the deep connection between faith and society. For this event, the temple has specially invited several local performing groups including Changchun Elementary School’s Dance Club, Changchun Elementary School’s Taiko Drumming Team, Sun “Wu”kong Creative Street Dance, Wuchang Junior High School’s Dance Club, and Wuchang Elementary School’s Cheer Dance Team. These performances will bring youthful energy to the fair, helping to strengthen community awareness around disaster preparedness. Citizens are welcome to enjoy these impressive artistic performances. The fair will feature a wide array of exciting activities, focusing on cultural performances and interactive game booths. The Fire Department has also planned many practical disaster prevention booths, including “Earthquake Knowledge (Furniture Securing Techniques),” “Download the Life-saving Apps,” “Fire Safety Feng Shui Master,” and “Residential Smoke Alarm Promotion.” Visitors can participate in stamp rally games and learn through hands-on experiences to understand home preparedness for earthquake hazards and how to mitigate and prevent from fire risks. Participants who collect all checkpoint stamps will receive a special gift—while supplies last! Taipei City has won the top spot in the "2024 County and City Overall and Sustainable Competitiveness Survey" by Global Views Monthly for the fourth consecutive time, and ranked first among the six metropolitan cities in "Public Safety and Firefighting," reflecting outstanding achievements in disaster prevention education. Citizens and mothers with children are welcomed to come and play, experience the cultural atmosphere of the temple, and pray for good luck while learning correct disaster prevention concepts together.
