Taipei City Government

In light of the overwhelming crowds visiting the upcoming Chinese New Year Street Bazaar slated for February 4 through 17, the city government will be implementing a series of traffic control measures to ensure smooth traffic and safety of pedestrians in the surrounding areas.

Details of measures for each area are as follows:

Dihua Street Commercial District 

-Vehicles prohibited from entering Dihua Street (from Nanjing W. Road intersection to Guisui Street intersection) 

Date and Time: 
5 PM (Feb. 1) – 11:59 PM (Feb. 3) 
11 AM (Feb. 4) – 11:59 PM (Feb. 17) 
Midnight – 11:59 PM (Feb. 18) 

-Traffic control for westbound traffic on Guisui Street (Huanhe N. Road intersection to Yanping N. Road intersection) 

Date: Feb. 4 – 17  
Time: Flexible (weekdays), 3 PM – 10 PM (holidays) 

-Traffic control for northbound traffic on Minle Street (from Guisui Street intersection to Minsheng W. Road intersection) 

Date: Feb. 4 – 17  
Time: Flexible (Mon. – Thu.); 3 PM – 11:59 PM (Fri.); 9 AM – 11:59 PM (holidays) 

-Traffic control for southbound traffic on Minle Street (from Minsheng W. Road intersection to Nanjing W. Road intersection) 

Date: Feb. 4 – 17 

Time: 3 PM – 10 PM (Mon. – Thu.); 3 PM – 11:59 PM (Fri.); 12 PM – 11:59 PM (holidays)

Huayin Street Commercial District 

-Vehicles prohibited from entering Huayin Street (from Chongqing N. Road intersection to Taiyuan Road intersection, and from Taiyuan Road intersection to Huayin Street No. 121) 

Date: Feb. 4 – 17  
Time: 10 AM – 10 PM

Ningxia Commercial District 

-Lanes on the east side of Ningxia Road will be closed, while lanes on the west side will remain open for northbound traffic (from Minsheng W. Road intersection to Pingyang Street intersection; from Pingyang Street intersection to Nanjing W. Road intersection [No. 23-2 on the odd number side and No. 22-5 on the even number side]) 

Date and Time:  Midnight – 11:59 PM (Jan. 30)  4 PM – 11:59 PM (Jan. 31 – Feb. 23) 

-Vehicles prohibited from entering Pingyang Street (from Ningxia Street intersection to Taiyuan Road intersection) 

Date and Time: Midnight (Feb. 10) – 6 AM (Feb. 11)

The city government encourages visitors to take public transportation to the CNY Street Bazaar to avoid traffic jams and the hassle of finding parking space.
