City Inaugurates Dagangqian Parking Lot, Waives Parking Fee during Trial Run
The Taipei City Dagangqian Park Underground Parking Lot (Address: No. 18, Zhouzi Road, Neihu District) officially opened its doors for a trial run on November 15. Parking is free for vehicles parked at the facility from today through December 1.
According to the Parking Management and Development Office (PMDO), constructions of the Dagangqian Park Underground Parking Lot began on June 30, 2019. The facility was completed after 2 years and 4 months of work. Operation of the facility has been commissioned to a private company.
As a landmark structure of the Neihu Technology Park, the Dagangqian Park Underground Parking Lot offers a total of 258 parking spaces for cars and 176 motorcycle parking squares across two basement floors. The surface level houses the Dagangqian Park, which is an important leisure facility and public green space for citizens. The completion of the facility will help alleviate parking headaches for those living and working in the neighborhood.
In accordance with the Taipei City Self-governing Ordinance for Rates of Public Parking Facilities, PMDO will charge car owners NT$40/hour from 8 AM through 8 PM, Monday through Friday (NT$10/hour from 8 PM through 8 AM) for parked vehicles. The parking fee for weekends and holidays is set at NT$20/hour. Vehicle owners can acquire a monthly parking permit for NT$3,000.
For motorcycle owners, the hourly rate is NT$10 (or NT$5 for 30 minutes) all year round. The parking fee is capped at NT$20 each day. The monthly parking permit for motorcycles costs NT$300.
