New Backpack Given Away at National Day Flag-raising Ceremony
The Department of Civil Affairs (DCA) organized a press event on October 4 to introduce the upcoming Double-ten Flag-raising Ceremony event at city hall and the souvenirs given away this year – the seventh-generation bee-buzz backpack.
Like the past years, the back packs will be available in two colors as well – khaki green and grey-blue. The sleek and young-looking design of the bag presents the Double-ten symbol in an innovative manner, highlighting the colors of red, blue, and white. The bag design integrates 4 different bag types – hand carry bag, backpack, shoulder bag, and messenger bag.
According to DCA, due to the limit on the number of attendees in the interest of pandemic prevention, only 500 positions are open to the public for pre-registration. At the same time, the agency will also offer additional souvenirs.
Pre-registration will open at 11 AM on October 6. Those successfully making the reservation will need to bring their National ID and email notification to collect their souvenirs after the flag-raising ceremony. For details, please visit the Chinese activity website (https://static.accupass.com/eventpage/2109230015421441800524.html) or call 02-2708-8672, ext. 19.
Despite the limit on attendees at this year’s flag-raising ceremony, the city government is giving away 3,000 bags to lucky winners of an online raffle. To register, please visit the aforementioned activity website between October 7 and 8. The list of winners will be decided by computer drawing on Double-ten day and published on the website of DCA. The winners will be notified via SMS.
Taipei City Government’s flag-raising ceremony will take place at 7 AM on October 10 at City Hall Plaza. The event is only open to the 500 individuals who successfully pre-registered online. At the same time, participants are reminded to take the standard precautions such as wearing face mask and disinfecting their hands. Seating is arranged to allow adequate space between people, and contract-tracing registration is required upon admission. People with fever or respiratory symptoms on the day of the ceremony should refrain from attending the event.
