New Motorcycle Parking Ban for Walkways, Arcades in Selected Districts
The Parking Management and Development Office (PMDO) announced that it will enforce a parking ban for motorcycles on pedestrian walkways and arcades along selected roads and streets in Taipei starting April 30, 2015. Before the implementation of the ban, the agency will promote the new measure through local borough offices and district offices starting April 16. Signs and notices will also be posted along walkways and arcades of the affected areas to remind motorcyclists of the upcoming parking ban. To address motorcycle parking demands in the affected areas, PMDO will increase the number of parking spaces for the exclusive use of motorcycles along the roadsides or alleyways in the affected neighborhood.
