Beam-setting Ceremony Conducted for Liuzhangli Barracks Public Housing

The beam-setting ceremony for the social housing projectThe beam-setting ceremony for the Taipei City Xinyi District Liuzhangli Barracks Area A, B Street Corridor Foundation Public Housing took place on August 15.
 
Chief Secretary Yu Chi-hsueh of the Urban Development Department presided over the ceremony on behalf of the agency. Dignitaries attending the ceremony included Chief Wang Kai-lei of Jinqin Borough; Chief Cheng Chih-yao of Jiaxing Borough; general manager Chen Kuo-hsiung of Moh and Associates; architect Wu Chang-cheng of P+A International; architect Chang Kuo-sung of Da-Link Architects and Associates; Chief Engineer Liu Tai-I of NEWASIA Construction, and more.
 
The foundation of the public housing project is located next to Jingqin No. 1 Park in Xinyi District. The combined area of A and B foundations is 14,904 square meters, and the total budget for the construction is NT$3.1 billion.
 
The final structure will be a 22-story building with 3 basement floors, offering a total of 722 social housing units. The edifice has acquired the following certifications: Silver Certification in Green Building, Silver Certification in Intelligent Building, Structure Accreditation Building, and Barrier-free Household. Construction has been ongoing since September of 2018, and the building is slated for completion in 2023.
 
The building incorporates an open plaza and green corridors, as well as a playground and pedestrian walkways connecting to neighborhoods. To further integrate with the local community, the building will house a community childcare facility and a multi-functional care center. There are also facilities such as fitness room, library, Yoga classroom, and landscape ecological farming plots to allow residents to interact with their neighbors.
