Tianmu Food festival 2019! Food and Prizes Galore!
To enable more people that love Tianmu’s shopping area to enjoy the food that neighborhood stores have to offer, Nurselife, the chairperson of the Blogger Association of Taiwan and a popular blogger herself, joined forces with restaurants in the Shilin-Beitou area to organize the Tianmu Food Festival 2019.
During the festival which runs until June 16, a total of 41 restaurants and YOWOO will all deliver to customers placing an order of TWD 500 or up, and add a ticket for a lottery whose grand prize is two plane tickets to Vancouver in Canada! Other prizes include tickets to Hokkaido, Japan, tickets to go see the polar lights in Canada, a trip for two to Tokyo Disneyland, private trainer packages at a fitness center, and many other fantastic prizes. Good food from Tianmu and chances to win great prizes—it feels as good as it tastes.
The Taipei City Office of Commerce (TCOOC) has supported the Tianmu Marketplace Development Association since 2013 to organize Tianmu Halloween activities in collaboration with the department stores and shops in the area, which attract large dressed-up crowds every year. The Tianmu Food Festival is a high-profile activity initiated and organized by the local business owners themselves, which reflects the high level of unity and collaboration between organizations and businesses in the Tianmu area.
One of the participating businesses, Pizzeria OGGI, was coached by the TCOOC in 2018 to upgrade its business model to a restaurant with a more distinct profile. As Taiwan’s only pizza restaurant certified by the True Neapolitan Pizza Association (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana), OGGI uses Italian flour, natural sea salt, extra-virgin olive oil, and other premium ingredients to create its authentic dishes and desserts. The coaching project also led to the introduction of one-person pizzas and tea-time sets as new offerings that provide a novel experience.
TCOOC will continue to support activities undertaken by local businesses to help make the shopping area ever more attractive to Taipei residents.
