Vehicles failing to carry out vehicle inspection within the deadline will be fined; inspection overdue for 6 months or more will result in cancellation of the vehicle license

According to the Traffic Adjudication Office of Taipei City Government, anyone who fails to have his/her vehicle inspected on time will receive a violation notice issued by Taipei City Motor Vehicles Office,Directorate general of Highways. A vehicle owner who ignores the notice that urges an inspection will receive a Notice of Adjudication, issued as per Paragraph 1, Article 9 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act by the Traffic Adjudication Office and delivered in accordance with Articles 68-91 of Administrative Procedure Act. As stated in Article 17 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act, the vehicle license will be cancelled if the vehicle owner had received a Notice of Adjudication but failed to report to the authorities within the required period of time, or the vehicle inspection has been overdue for more than six months.
