To strengthen the appeal of Taipei City as a destination for global travelers, the Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) has stepped up its Undiscovered Taipei promotion campaign!
From today through June 30, international tourists who either (1) stay over two nights at legal hotels/accommodations in Taipei City or (2) stopover in Taiwan between 15 and 72 hours, will be eligible to receive a free 4-hour-duration ticket to the double-decker sightseeing bus.
Those qualified for the complimentary ticket can pick it up at any of the three designated locations. For stopover travelers who meet the aforementioned requirements, please visit the Discovery Center of Taipei at city hall (https://discovery.gov.taipei) to obtain the bus ticket. For international tourists staying two nights or more at legal accommodation in the city, they can obtain the ticket from either (1) the front desk of partner hotels, or (2) the visitor information center (http://www.travel.taipei/zh-tw/information/servicecenter) at Songshan Airport, MRT Taipei 101/World Trade Center Station, or Airport MRT A1 Taipei Main Station.
Eligible tourists will need to present the following documents at the counter as a proof of their qualification:
(1)The individual’s passport, and
(2)One of the following: boarding pass; airplane ticket; cruise ticket, or proof of accommodation.
TPEDOIT pointed out that in addition to the free double-decker bus ticket, the agency is also collaborating with partner hotels to offer special discounts for international travelers staying two nights or more.
