Taipei city bus lane permit in 2015 is now open for application. Final date for application is July 31, 2015.

The Taipei Public Transportation Office had reviewed the traffic volume and usage on bus lanes, and decided to conditionally open bus lanes to other vehicles by application, in accordance to bus lane permit management regulations. Bus lanes opened for application and number of permits were: Roosevelt Road (Xinsheng South Road to Heping East Road) – 20, Songjiang Road – 19, Xinsheng South Road – 20, Renai Road – 20, Xinyi Road – 20 and Xinguang Road – 20. Applications were to be submitted to the Taipei Public Transportation Office on the date of announcement, and closed on July 31, 2015.
The bus lane permit will expire on December 31, 2015. Applicants should be any companies or institutions or schools that run long-term bus transportation on bus lanes. Vehicles under the applications should not be more than 10 years old by the end of December 2015 with at least 20 seats. The vehicles are limited to owned or rented business buses. If the vehicles under the applications are rented, the applications should be submitted by renter institution, school or company. If the vehicles are business buses, the applicants should hold the approval letter for transport vehicles from transportation authority.
Applicants should submit the application form (available from the Taipei Public Transportation Office or downloadable from the Taipei City Government’s online application website, “Taipei e-Service Online”), photocopy of company license (certificate), photocopy of vehicle license, diagram illustrating the bus lanes that you intend to apply, and vehicle route (including name of each stop). If your vehicles are rented, you should also present your rental contract valid on date of application till December 31, 2015.
Applicants should fill in and submit the application form along with required documents by post or hand over to the Taipei Public Transportation Office before the deadline. The Office will review applications in the order of receipts. Permits will be issued to the approved applicants unless spaces are all filled up.
