Wan-an Air Raid Drill to Take Place April 28
The Wan-an 38 air raid drill will take place between 1:30 PM and 2 PM in Taipei on Tuesday, April 28.
During the period of the air raid drill, both the MRT network and Maokong Gondola will continue operations. However, passengers will not be allowed to enter or leave the respective stations during the drill. All shops on the ground floor or elevated platform of MRT stations will also be closed during the drill, but stores at underground stations or underground malls will remain open. Parking lots for park-and-ride passengers at MRT stations will also adopt an “entry-only” policy during this period.
According to Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC), the shutters and windows at Taipei Arena will be shut and all lights will be closed during the drill.
All outdoor facilities at Taipei Children’s Amusement Park will be temporarily suspended during the drill.
TRTC reminds the public that those violating drill regulations will be susceptible to fines between NT$30,000 and NT$150,000, according to Article 25 of the Civil Defense Act.
