Moon Festival App Fest at the 2020 NASA Hackathon
The 2020 NASA Hackathon will take you up to the moon! Over tens of thousands of innovators and problem solvers from more than 200 cities around the world will take part in the online international gathering slated between October 2 and 4.
This year’s event is jointly organized by he AIT, National Space Organization, Taipei City Government, National Taiwan University, American Innovation Center, and Jothon Online.
During the press conference on September 10, AIT’s Cultural Affairs Officer Luke Martin made the following remarks: “This hackathon is one of NASA’s most innovative outreach activities. 2020’s theme is ‘Take Action.’ We hope participants can use NASA’s open data to increase our understanding of the universe and develop meaningful and feasible solutions that solve today’s challenges for sustainable development.”
Other partners supporting the 2020 NASA Hackathon include: Foundation of Women’s Rights Promotion and Development, MediaTek, the College of Design of National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Microsoft Taiwan, iThome, and g0v Jothon.
