Two Weeks Remaining for YDO Youth Dance Video Clip Submission
The Youth Development Office (YDO) is holding the “2021 Youth Dance 30-second Clip Competition”! Young people and students who enjoy showcasing their creativity and vitality are encouraged to submit works online via IG. The deadline for clip submissions is November 30.
The theme for this year is “Street Dance Craze Together,” hoping to boost exchanges among youths who love street dancing. The organizers welcome all types of entrees regardless of dance style or music genre.
To help raise the awareness of parents on the healthy and interactive nature of street dance, the organizers have new competition categories. In addition to high school and vocational school students, this year’s event will also include the new “Middle and Elementary School” category, as well as the “Parents and Children” category for the entire family.
During the submission period, those interested in participating should check out YDO’s IG and Swipe IG, where demo clips uploaded by street dance teachers can serve as reference and guide.
This year’s competition offers a number of prizes as well, with a total prize money of NT$100,000. First-place winners can bring home a reward of NT$20,000, while those claiming any one of the two popularity awards will receive NT$5,000.
After the submission deadline, the entries will be open to internet voting starting at 3 PM on December 14. The list of winners will be announced on December 15. For more information on the contest, please visit YDO’s activity website (Chinese) or call the agency (02-2351-4078, ext. 1724, Ms. Cheng).
