It’s Water Frolicking Time! Dajia Water Playground Opens to the Public
The scorching summer is upon us, so come on down to Dajia Water Playground to cool off! Aside from the highly popular expansive sandpit at the Dajia Riverside Park, the Hydraulic Engineering Office (HEO) announced the opening of the water playground on June 1.
During June and September, the water foundation will be operating from 15:00 to 18:00 every weekend. Additionally, the water playground will also be open for the Dragon Boat Festival and Mid-Autumn Festival (water fountain will be operating from 15:00 to 18:00).
According to HEO, large circular shaped, column-shaped, and giant flower-shaped water spray facilities are available in the water playground. What’s more, using these adorable, fun-filled facilities is absolutely free! During the summer vacation, Dajia Water Playground will also be open on weekdays, meaning that children will be able to frolic in the water every day during July and August. The water fountain will operate daily from 10:00-10:40, 11:00-11:40, and 15:00-18:00, so bring your family along to Dajia Riverside Park, where children and adults can enjoy a wonderful time playing with sand and water!
Dajia Riverside Park not only covers a vast area but also saves visitors from downtown traffic congestions. The spacious, green riverside park is ideal for outdoor activities including cycling, skateboarding, and roller skating, while parents are able to enjoy quality family time at the Light Meal Area under the tensile gazebo with a cup of joe. The HEO would like to remind the public to keep warm when frolicking in water so as not to catch a cold!
In addition to the Dajia Riverside Park Water Playground, the dry fountain at the Guandu Wharf Square will open in June and September from 17:00 to 20:00 every weekend; in July and August, the dry fountain will operate every day from 17:00 to 20:00. The dry fountain at Guandu Wharf Square features a total of 26 nozzles coupled with vibrantly colored LED lights. However, it is a landscape fountain and therefore is not open to the public to frolic in the water. Watching the fountain spraying water to the rhythm of colorful lights is an invigorating, romantic, evening experience.
