The Taipei City Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault held a press conference on April 7, 2023, “children and youths’ safety shall not be neglected, and a happy city shall be guarded by us all”, in view of the fact that in 2023, “accidents and injuries due to parents’ or caregivers’ negligence” accounted for 79.02% of the child protection cases accepted. In order to protect infants and young children and prevent painful cases from happening, the Taipei City Center for Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault has specially produced illustrated easy-read guidelines on infants’ and young children’s falling prevention and responsive measures. Deputy Secretary-General Wang Qiudong also appealed to citizens that children’s safety needs to be maintained by us all, and everyone is invited to protect the children for them to grow safely and happily.
