As it was expecting sunny weather during the long New Year holidays in 2015, the number of visitors to the Taipei Children’s Amusement Park on the first day exceeded than 37,000, causing busy traffic. The Taipei Public Transportation Office urged people who plan to visit the amusement park could choose to travel by public transportation in cold weather.
The free transfer bus to the amusement park goes on Line 1, “MRT Shilin Station – Taipei Children’s Amusement Park (passing MRT Zhishan Station), and Line 2 (MRT Jiantan Station – Taipei Children’s Amusement Park” on holidays. On weekdays, the bus goes on Line 3, “MRT Shilin Station – MRT Jiantan Station – Taipei Children’s Amusement Park”. The Office would like to remind residents in Tamsui, Beitou and surrounding areas to travel by MRT and get on the transfer bus at MRT Shilin Station or MRT Zhishan Station. People living coming from Taipei Railway Station and other areas could change to the transfer bus at MRT Jiantan Station. Other options include buses 41, 255 Qu (in zone), 288 Qu (in zone), 620 and Red 30 that stop by “Taipei Children’s Amusement Park”. People are most welcome to travel by public transportation.
