    As of Jul. 2024, the number of legally registered factories in the City was 914 wherein 126 are manufacturers of computers, electronic and optical products; 117 are manufacturers of fabricated metal products; 73 are printing and reproduction factories of recorded media; 113 are manufacturers of food products; 73 are manufacturers of machinery and equipment; 61 are manufacturers of electrical equipment; and 54 are manufacturers of electronic parts and components; totaling 617 factories, and accounting for 67.50% of the total number of factories in the City. They are the major categories of the City’s existing factories. Distribution by administrative region: Neihu District tops the rank with 397 factories, followed by Nangang District with 225 factories, together making up 68.05％ of the total.
