Department of Government Ethics, Taipei City Government (DOGE) indicated that the correction of the "Taipei City Government Clean Government Committee Rules of Formation" took new approach. The correction’s purpose was to clear the old way of doing things by removing internally confined inspection. In the new way, the Committee not only reserved half of the member seats to unprejudiced, nongovernmental celebrities and professional scholars, but also allocated the members the authority to receive report and to investigate. Now, the early mission of the Committee was to re-initiate the investigation of Meihe City scandal and oversee the developmental project of twin towers, and so on.
