As of January 1, 2015, smoking in the outdoor areas in front of the administration building of Department of Sports, Taipei City Government, Taipei Gymnasium and Taipei Tennis Court is prohibited.
In order to establish smoke-free environment and to ensure passengers are protected from passive smoking, Department of Health announces that smoking in the outdoor areas in front of the administration building of Department of Sports of Taipei City Government, Taipei Gymnasium and Taipei Tennis Court is prohibited and the regulation has come into force on January 1, 2015, based on Article 15, Paragraph 1, No. 13 of Tobacco Hazards Prevention Act. According to Article 31, Paragraph 1, violators will be fined from NT$2,000 to NT$10,000.
