"Cycling Circle Trip Taipei" Draws Widespread Acclaim: Third Round of the Event Kicks Off with New Features

Since its launch in July 2022, the "Cycling Circle Trip Taipei Riverside Bike Challenge Certification" has seen increasing participation from cycling enthusiasts. In response to the overwhelming support, the Hydraulic Engineering Office (HEO) of the Public Works Department, Taipei City Government announced that the event is entering its third round on July 1, 2024. In recognition of the enthusiastic support from the community, the much-coveted completion badges—featuring the distinctive "Taipei Gorgeous Manhole Cover" design—will now be issued in an increased quantity of 2,000 each month, enabling more participants to secure these unique accolades. For further details on the event, participants are encouraged to visit the HEO's official website at https://reurl.cc/7dM0jk.

The HEO has elaborated on the structure of the "Cycling Circle Trip Taipei" event, which features two distinct challenges: the "Challenge Ride" and the "Easy Ride." The Challenge Ride requires that participants complete the entire 66-kilometer route in one session, while the Easy Ride permits participants to accumulate the same distance along Taipei's picturesque riverside bike paths throughout a month. Successful completion of either challenge qualifies participants for a " Taipei Gorgeous Manhole Cover" metal badge. In this third round, the HEO is excited to unveil 12 new badge designs. While initially limited to the first 200 completers of each mission, the eligibility has now expanded to 1,000 participants per mission. However, participants are eligible to receive a badge for only one mission per round.

According to the HEO, feedback from participants highlights the appeal of the intricately designed badges, which initially drew many to the event. Over time, consistent participation has led to noticeable health improvements and increased vitality among cyclists, encouraging them to adopt regular exercise routines and embrace new challenges. This positive impact has been profoundly gratifying for the event organizers and fuels the continuation of this program. The HEO warmly invites people of all ages to participate and experience the joy and benefits of cycling. Participants who successfully complete the missions for 12 consecutive months will not only gather a series of 12 unique badges but will also be rewarded with an exclusive badge display cloth, commemorating their dedication and achievements throughout the year.
