With the approach of summer vacation, the Taipei Water Festival promises to be one of the destinations for those seeking cover from blazing summer heat.

The public is invited to take part in the opening event of the festival, organized by the Taipei Water Department, with the collaboration of National Taxation Bureau. The event will last from 1 PM to 5 PM on June 30. Furthermore, admission is free for everyone on the day of the event.

This year, the opening ceremony is held in conjunction with tax promotion and uniformed invoice donation charity drive. By donating a uniformed invoice (not registered with specific company uniform number) for the period May-June, 2018, individuals can either bring home a souvenir or receive an admission ticket to the air cushion slide facility. The souvenirs are limited in number, so pick one up while supplies last!

Other activities on the opening day include performance by magicians and practitioners of Atayal traditional arts, as well as quiz show and raffles.

Opening Ceremony of the 2018 Taipei Water Festival

1. Venue: Taipei Water Park (No. 1, Siyuan Street, Zhongzheng District)
2. Date and Time: June 30 (1:30 PM – 5 PM)
3. Uniform Invoice Donation Charity Drive:
   (1) On the date of the event, individual who donates 5 uniform invoice (non-company invoice registered) or 3 electronic uniform invoice (the sum on the invoice must be greater than NT$10) are eligible for exchanging one of the following:
   A. Taipei Water Park VIP admission ticket x 1 (Available in limited supply; each individual can exchange up to 2 tickets)
   B. Interactive Game Raffle Ticket: (Available in limited supply; maximum 1 ticket per individual). Individuals who clear the interactive game can participate in the raffle which offers a wide range of prizes
   (2) On the day of the event, individuals who donate 2 uniform invoice (non-company invoice registered) or 1 electronic uniform invoice (the sum on the invoice must be greater than NT$10) can receive 1 admission ticket to the air cushion slide facility. Tickets are available in limited supply and each individual can exchange for a maximum of 1 ticket.

The 2018 Taipei Water Festival will last from June 30 through August 31. In addition to the standard facilities at the Taipei Water Park, the organizers have also constructed a sprinkler corridor at the Fountain Garden Plaza. With the variety of water-spraying device in the area, kids will be able to enjoy watery fun without needing to visit the pool. At the same time, a display featuring water pipes, swim rings, and animals has been installed next to the Fountain Garden Plaza as well, offering visitors a place to take their selfies.

In addition to the opening ceremony, the Taipei Water Festival will also hold 3 activities promoting indigenous culture throughout the months of July and August. There are shows and giveaways, and Taipei Water Park welcomes parents to bring their kids to this urban oasis to enjoy wet and wild fun next to the pools.
