The 2015 Guling Street Books and Creative Bazaar will be taking place at the neighborhood around Guling Street on November 28 and 29. The street bazaar this year will take place between 10 AM and 8 PM on Saturday (November 28) and from 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday (November 29).

The event is organized by the Zhongzheng District Office and executed by the Longfu Borough Office of Zhongzheng District.

The annual Guling Street Books and Creative Bazaar set a record in 2008 for attracting 30,000 visitors in a period of two days. It also played an important role in helping the spread of weekend flea markets spotlighting creative and innovative products and merchandise. This year’s Guling Street Books Bazaar will feature several themes, including “Literature” and “Innovation.” There will be three display zones at the fair, including “Cultural Spirit of South Gate Used Books Vendors,” “Literary-themed Creativity Market,” and “Street Performance Masters.”

At the street bazaar, visitors can find a huge selection of publications from sources ranging from used-book vendors to publishing houses. If you are lucky, you might be able to uncover rare works and land on great bargains! In addition, vendors also offer a wide range of creative products, including customized notebooks, cloth pouches, leather engravings, illustration books, and more. Street performers and artists will also grace the event by entertaining passers-by with their exquisite skills, bringing fun and laughter to the neighborhood this weekend.

Public Transportation

The section of Guling Street between Nanhai Road intersection and Ningbo West Road intersection will be closed to traffic during the creativity market. Visitors are encouraged to take public transportation to the venue. For passengers taking the MRT, disembark at MRT CKS Memorial Hall Station and travel to the venue on Nanhai Road by leaving from Exit 2. The venue of the street bazaar is a three-minute walk from the station. For those taking public bus (route 1), please disembark at Taiwan Water Corporation West District Office bus stop.
