Taipei City Government

The 2017 Taipei OEC Open will take place in Taipei Arena between November 12 and 19.

The tournament was first introduced as an ITF event in 2007 with prize money of $50,000. The event was funded by the Taipei City Government, Sports Affairs Council, Executive Yuan, and – most importantly – OEC Group.

Not only did Taipei OEC Open set numerous records in attendance, but it was also the first ITF event equipped with the Hawk-Eye system.

In 2012, the event became first ever WTA 125k series event with prize money of $125,000. Past champions include Kristina Mladenovic, Ayumi Morita and Taiwan's very own Chan Yung-Jan.
