Tennis Celebrities Face-off at 2017 Taipei OEC Open
The tournament was first introduced as an ITF event in 2007 with prize money of $50,000. The event was funded by the Taipei City Government, Sports Affairs Council, Executive Yuan, and – most importantly – OEC Group. Not only did Taipei OEC Open set numerous records in attendance, but it was also the first ITF event equipped with the Hawk-Eye system. In 2012, the event became first ever WTA 125k series event with prize money of $125,000. Past champions include Kristina Mladenovic, Ayumi Morita and Taiwan's very own Chan Yung-Jan. The 2017 Taipei OEC Open will take place in Taipei Arena between November 12 and 19.
