Yifang Old House

picture of Yifang Old House The Yifang Old House was built in 1876 during the Qing Dynasty by settlers of Chen family. This U-shape, three-sided building has a main body and two arms, and was a typical traditional Chinese old house of Taipei basin. The front walls are made of thick, strong stones and bricks. The number of doors and windows in this house is limited, and there are cabinets on the second-story of the arm sides which were used to contain equipment such as guns that may be used to fight off robbers.
