Reduce the burden on medical professionals by using general government staff for administrative tasks that doesn’t require having a medical background.

The Taipei City Government is aware that the battle against COVID-19 will continue for quite some time, therefore, they encourage citizens to visit local clinics first before large hospitals. This method allows the diverging of patient traffic and alleviates the stress that medical staff are facing.

At hospital entrances non-medical personnel screen patients for fever and provide hand sanitizer. All patients must have appointments at hospitals and visitors are highly restricted and must have an official invitation.
