TaipeiPASS is the city government’s single-entry portal for members. It integrates city services and resources that people are likely to use in their everyday life. By constructing a citizen digital identity and verification system linking both online and offline services, TaipeiPASS provides users with a wide variety of tools ranging from identification to payment. Signing up for TaipeiPASS membership allows you to enjoy services offered by city hall. It is the key for citizens to unlock city services.

We suggest that you take advantage of the “Forgot Password” function and have the system dispatch a verification message to you, providing you with the option of changing your password.

* Reminder: you will be unable to change your password through the “Forgot Password” function when your account is temporarily disabled.

There are three ways to register via the app (download app)(Chinese): 

1. Mobile Phone Verification:
Mobile phone number verification is an identity verification process utilizing the telecom company’s database. Therefore, you must make sure that your mobile phone is under a monthly plan (excluding Type II Telecom Operators) registered under your name. The mobile phone number cannot be registered to companies or government agencies. Instructions are as follows:

(1) Please select “Register with Mobile Phone Number” when registering via the app. Read the terms and conditions and privacy policy carefully.
(2) Enter your personal data, including ID number, name, birthdate, and mobile phone number.
(3) Verify whether the user is the owner of the device (simply operate the phone as you normally would – enter passwords, place your finger on the sensor for fingerprint recognition, or trace the set pattern to unlock the phone.)

(4) Set password.

2.ID Verification: You will be required to upload the front and back sides of your ID Card. Operation details are as follows:

(1) When registering via the app, please select “Register with ID” and read the terms and conditions and privacy policy carefully.

(2) Take photos of the front and the back of your ID Card.
(3) Double-check whether the data you’ve provided is correct and corresponds with the info on your ID. Submit the form.

(4) Finish setting up your account (mobile phone or email) and password.

3.ARC Verification: If you have a physical ARC card, you can register your membership via this method.

You will be required to upload the front and back sides of your ARC Card. Operation details are as follows:
(1) When registering via the app, please select “Register with ARC” and read the terms and conditions and privacy policy carefully.
(2)Take photos of the front and the back of your ARC Card.
(3)Double-check whether the data you’ve provided is correct and corresponds with the info on your ARC. Submit the form.
(4)Finish setting up your account (mobile phone or email) and password.

1. Holders of physical ARC card: either “Apply for ARC Verification (Chinese) ” on the official website of TaipeiPASS or download TaipeiPASS app (Chinese)  and choose “Register with ARC”;
2. Visit any of the 12 district offices in Taipei to apply in person, or 
3. Submit application online via Citizen Grand Platform (Chinese)

If you’ve forgotten your password, please click on the “Forgot Password” link on the login page. Enter your mobile phone number or email when prompted, and proceed with resetting your password.

1.Upon activation of TaipeiPASS, it displays a message indicating that there’s a newer version of the app. However, when you try to update the app, you don’t see any “update” button:

• Please visit either Google Play or App Store and search for TaipeiPASS. When the “update” button appears, click on it to install the latest version of the app.
• If you still don’t see the “update” button, it is very likely that the app software’s update file is still being processed by the respective platform. The time required for the update to complete may vary for different users. You should try updating again at a later time if the speed is too slow.

2.Upon activation of TaipeiPASS, it will display a message reminding you to update the app. However, after you complete the update and return to TaipeiPASS, the app still wants you to install the update:
Visit either Google Play or App Store to search for the latest version of the app. You can then click on the update button to renew the app at this time.

Major milestones of the implementation of FTTH should include:

• -A household penetration rate of 20% by the end of 2013
• - A household penetration rate of 60% by January 15, 2015
• -A household penetration rate of 80% by October 15, 2015
