Nearby are Jingmei Girls High School and the Examination Yuan, and the school is also close to excellent institutions of higher education such as National Chengchi University and Shih Hsin University, making it one of Taipei City’s thriving cultural and educational areas. However, since the school was founded, physical constraints, including a limited campus area and a lack of indoor activity and semi-outdoor activity spaces for students, have significantly affected school development, further underscoring the urgency of constructing the new activity center. Accordingly, the Taipei City Government has proposed a plan to construct a new activity center, including a one-level underground parking facility and a five-story above-ground facility comprising an activity center, a swimming pool, an activity platform, and kindergarten classrooms, with the expectation of building a multifunctional activity center building as the foundation for the school’s future all-round campus development and to meet the kindergarten’s teaching needs.

Shih-Chen Tian, director of the Zhongzheng Office of the Public Works Section, New Construction Office, stated that Hsuyuan Kuo Architects & Associates were commissioned to carry out the design and construction supervision for this project. As the Taipei Municipal Li Xing Primary School site lies on the boundary of Muzha and Wenshan District, it is hoped that this activity center will in the future become Wenshan District’s new living hub, as well as a “public living room” where the city and natural landscape intersect, and will echo the four visions of Taipei Municipal Li Xing Primary School, guided by the principle of putting true knowledge into action: “Sincerity: Care and Inclusivity”, “Knowledge: Respect for Virtue and Diligence in Learning”, “Dedication: Pursuit of Excellence”, and “Action: Enthusiasm and Vitality”. The new activity center’s spatial planning includes an activity center, sports courts, a swimming pool, an activity platform, kindergarten classrooms, and parking spaces; by leveraging the diversity and variety of activity spaces, it will provide students with a diversified learning environment and meet the school’s future needs. In design, the campus activity spaces will be extended to a large activity platform, linked with the riverside environment to create diverse and varied activity venues, and a long-span steel structural system will be adopted to create, in an economically efficient manner, a free and flexible activity center and swimming pool, while the greenbelt along the Jingmei River will be extended into the campus environment to create a friendly, naturally ventilated green building environment, together creating a friendly campus for diverse learning.

Shih-Chen Tian explained that this project commenced on April 22, 2024, and that the topping-out ceremony held on January 19, 2026 is an important phased achievement of the project; the overall project is expected to be completed in 2027, and it is hoped that, after completion, it will realize the school’s educational vision, create a new highlight of Taipei City’s education and promote the distinctive development of the community, providing all faculty and students and community residents with a high quality, sustainable, friendly, and safe space for teaching and activities.

Yangmingshan Flower Festival is upcoming on Feb. 5 - Mar. 15

The annual Yangmingshan Flower Festival has been attracting visitors from all over the world for more than 60 years.

In addition to the spring scenery of the mountains and the “Flower Clock” of Yangmingshan, visitors will also be surrounded by a variety of cherry blossoms, including Yamazakura, Kanzakura, Yaezakura, Shōwazakura, and Yoshino cherry blossoms, as well as the Hirado and Golden Azalea blooming in the woods. These works directly challenge the dominant ethos of accumulation by exploring this question through four thematic axes: Matter, Memory, Ghost, and Fragility. Together, they examine the weight, traces, absences, and vulnerabilities inherent in our digital world.

Curator/ Doreen A. With this new route in place, road users traveling northbound via Tiding Boulevard will no longer need to merge with southbound traffic, detour around the Yangguang Pumping Station, or stop at Jiuzong Road. Instead, they can now make an earlier right turn onto Jiuzong Road, saving approximately 400 meters in travel distance and reducing travel time by about 4.5 minutes, thereby significantly alleviating traffic congestion.

According to Chief Engineer Wu Zai-Qin of the New Construction Office, in line with the city government’s efforts to enhance overall traffic conditions in the Neihu Technology Park area, a new on-ramp has been constructed within the Neihu Sports Park to address congestion at the Tiding Boulevard connection to the northbound National Freeway No. 1. This newly added on-ramp merges directly onto Jiuzong Road, leading to the freeway entrance, significantly reducing travel distance and wait times. By enabling earlier traffic diversion from Tiding Boulevard, the new on-ramp allows vehicles to reach the freeway more efficiently. By reducing traffic on Tiding Boulevard, it is hoped that traffic will be dispersed to surrounding major roads to help ease existing congestion.

Wu Zai-Qin added that in order to improve traffic conditions in the Neihu Technology Park area as early as possible, the construction team was fully mobilized to complete the project within approximately six months. The original slope was transformed into a nearly 250-meter-long road, completed on June 12, 2025. The project adopted methods that have low impacts on the ecology, including the establishment of stone revetment and the planting of shrubs as retaining structures, helping to preserve water resources while enhancing the roadside landscape. This approach balances driving safety with aesthetic appeal, creating a “breathing” green road. In terms of traffic facilities, safety direction signs and flexible delineator posts were installed at turns to assist drivers in adjusting to changes in road width. Additionally, deceleration markings were added at the exit connecting to Section 2, Jiuzong Road, to guide drivers to slow down, ensuring a safer passage for all road users. It is hoped that starting today, this brand-new road will serve as a catalyst for better traffic in the Neihu Technology Park area and provide road users with a more comfortable commuting experience!

<a class="fancybox-buttons" rel="fancybox-thumb" title="Image 1. The ceremony was presided over by Chief Secretary Huang, Shu-Ju of the Public Works Department, along with relevant personnel, offering prayers for the successful completion of the project and for the safety and smooth operation of all workers and machinery involved.

Hsiao Chih-Long, Chief of the Public Works Section at the New Construction Office, noted that Taipei Municipal Nangang High School was established in 1967. The Science Building, which had been in use since 1986, was found to have an excessive chloride ion content following a seismic resistance assessment. In consideration of the safety of faculty and students as well as the need to improve the overall teaching environment, the Taipei City Government contracted the demolition of the Science Building in December 2018 and proposed a new construction plan for a Comprehensive Teaching Building. The new building will include a two-level underground parking area and five stories of above-ground teaching spaces, aiming to provide a multifunctional teaching building aligned with the Curriculum Guidelines of 12-year Basic Education. The design will offer additional space for the development and delivery of a wide range of courses. Furthermore, the overall planning of the building incorporates green building design principles, with the goal of transforming Nangang High School into a sustainable campus characterized by ecological elements, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and a healthy environment.

Huang Chia-Wei, Director of the Nangang Public Works Office under the Public Works Section of the New Construction Office, noted that the project was commissioned to KEDAK Group, Architecture, Planning & Construction Management for design and construction supervision. The design concept centers on creating dynamic and interactive learning spaces for both teachers and students. The plan includes semi-outdoor activity areas, landscaped terraces, and a rooftop garden, which are integrated with the school’s existing open spaces to form a well-rounded and multi-tiered teaching environment that fosters exchanges and interaction. The new teaching building will feature a variety of facilities, including tiered classrooms, all-weather classrooms, seminar classrooms, reservable classrooms, standard classrooms, and a parking area. The spatial layout is designed to harmonize with the natural environment, utilizing southern sunlight and appropriately guided airflow to enhance the comfort of the overall teaching environment. In addition, by creating a diverse and flexible learning space, the project aims to meet the evolving needs of the school.

Huang Chia-Wei concluded by noting that the project officially commenced on August 21, 2023. Following today’s beam-raising ceremony, the structural framework is expected to be completed in the near future. It is hoped that upon completion, the project will realize the school’s vision for diversified education and serve as a new beacon of educational excellence in Taipei. The building aims to provide a high-quality, sustainable, friendly, and safe environment for teaching and community activities, benefitting both the school and local residents. Additionally, it is anticipated to become a key landmark extending the image of the Eastern District Gateway Corridor.

<a class="fancybox-buttons" rel="fancybox-thumb" title="Image 1. In 2023, it was certified by the Ministry of Environment as an “Environmental Education Facility” and launched two programs designed for elementary school students and more advanced learners. Continuing its efforts, the plant has also earned the Ministry of Environment’s Carbon Footprint Label, TAF laboratory accreditation, and the Ministry of Finance’s Golden Thumb Award. On May 1, 2025, the plant will debut its newest curriculum, Adventurous Water Drop, created specifically for senior high school and vocational students. Citizens of all ages are welcome to apply for guided tours and interactive learning experiences.

Mr. Sheng-Tsung Hsiao, Director of the Neihu Sewage Treatment Plant, stated that the plant will launch its brand-new educational program, Adventurous Water Drop, on May 1, 2025. This program integrates perspectives from Feitsui Reservoir, the Taipei Water Department’s purification plant, and the sewage treatment process, giving visitors a comprehensive view of the water cycle, from upstream watershed conservation, to midstream purification and distribution, to downstream sewage treatment and water reclamation. In 2023, the Neihu Plant introduced two environmental education programs tailored to different age groups: The Magical House That Makes Water Clean, designed for elementary school students, and The Sustainable Magical House, a more advanced curriculum. Both programs use interactive and engaging teaching methods to explain the sewage treatment process and emphasize the importance of water resources.

Director Hsiao further noted that in addition to launching the new program, the Neihu Sewage Treatment Plant is upgrading its audiovisual classroom used for environmental education. Enhancements include improved lighting, new seating and carpeting, and a redesigned podium to create a more comfortable learning environment. The renovation is scheduled for completion by the end of May 2025. During construction, visiting groups are encouraged to keep group sizes under 12. Courses will be held in a small meeting room or, alternatively, in front of the environmental education area on the first floor of the administrative building, with foldable chairs provided by the plant.

The Sewerage Systems Office further added that that to provide a more diverse range of environmental education options, the Neihu Sewage Treatment Plant will officially join the “Taipei Water Journey” program this year (2025). Schools in Neihu, Songshan, Nangang, and Xinyi Districts are encouraged to participate and take advantage of the nearby location for convenient access. The program aspires to cultivate participants as “water resource ambassadors” who will share their knowledge and experiences with others—fostering a city-wide mindset of understanding, cherishing, and protecting water, and working together toward a more sustainable Taipei.

Citizens of all ages are welcome to apply online to visit the Neihu Sewage Treatment Plant.
Please submit your application through the Taipei City Government Public Venue Reservation System.

For inquiries, feel free to call:02-8791-9494 ext. 158（Mr.Lin, Engineer)。

Exclusive for Taipei Junior High and Elementary Schools — The 2025 Taipei Water Journey Is Now Open for Registration

To deepen public awareness of water resource conservation, the Taipei City Government launched the “Taipei Water Journey” last year (2024), an environmental education program exclusively for Taipei elementary school students. On-site, they will explore key facilities such as the deep aeration tanks, aeration agitators, and engage in real-time comparisons between raw and treated water, as well as wet and dried sludge. The course uses age-appropriate teaching tools and interactive explanations to ensure a dynamic and engaging learning experience.

Teachers Mr. Chen and Ms. Lin from Zhongzheng Elementary School expressed their appreciation for the program, especially the effort of the instructors. They noted how the sensory experience—smelling the odors from household sewage, hearing the noise from machines, and observing the transformation of sludge after drying—gave students a deep and lasting impression of the challenges involved in sewage treatment. On behalf of the school, they presented a certificate of appreciation to the Sewerage Systems Office of the Public Works Department for providing such a meaningful learning opportunity and for helping instill water sustainability awareness in young children.

The Sewerage Systems Office of the Public Works Department further stated that schools and institutions located outside of Taipei City are also welcome to apply for visits. Both the Dihua and Neihu Sewage Treatment Plants are certified environmental education facilities and offer customized programs for all age groups. These courses provide comprehensive insights into wastewater generation, collection, treatment, and reuse. Everyone is warmly invited to register and experience this unique environmental education program—an essential yet often overlooked aspect of municipal infrastructure—and join in efforts to improve Taipei’s water environment.

Application Information:

1.Citizen Service Platform

Dihua Sewage Treatment Planthttps://service.gov.taipei/rental/VenueDetail/e1fabfea2753

Neihu Sewage Treatment Planthttps://service.gov.taipei/rental/VenueDetail/6e1753279df5

2.Taipei Water Journey Environmental Education Program
(Special program available exclusively to elementary schools within Taipei City):

https://twpeec.water.gov.taipei/News_Content.aspx?n=9C5B68ECA3EE3C56&sms=EC4A96AA0FDC743C&s=C50CACA1C92A0E45

<a class="fancybox-buttons" rel="fancybox-thumb" title="“Taipei Water Journey"–A Program Designed for Taipei City Elementary Schools. In addition to the lectures, the event featured interactive activities designed to give participants a firsthand experience of French and Dutch culture.

In her opening remarks, Department of Civil Servant Development (DCSD) Commissioner Ho Ya-jiuan noted that the 2025 World Masters Games will be held from May 17 to 30. To prepare for the arrival of athletes from around the world and help Taipei City Government staff better understand international cultures, DCSD has organized a series of cultural lectures since last September. These sessions have covered regions including Northeast Asia (Japan and Korea), Southeast Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia), North America, Oceania (Australia and New Zealand), and India.

This sixth session focused on French and Dutch culture. Commissioner Ho expressed her sincere thanks to the French Office in Taipei, the Alliance Française de Taïwan, and the Gin Shin Construction Culture and Arts Foundation for their generous support of the event. The program also featured hands-on cultural activities such as a live French chanson duet and a tasting of traditional Dutch stroopwafels, offering participants a richer and more immersive experience of French and Dutch life and culture.

Guest speakers Prue Chan and Jeroen Uijttenhout delivered a talk titled Dutch in Taiwan, beginning with the fact that the Netherlands’ official name is Nederland. They noted that the country is home to the world’s oldest national anthem and that 26% of its territory lies below sea level. The Dutch are widely recognized for their high English proficiency and their reputation for direct, open communication.

The Netherlands has also been a cradle of artistic genius, producing legendary painters such as Johannes Vermeer, Rembrandt, and Vincent van Gogh. Among Vermeer’s most iconic works is Girl with a Pearl Earring, which features a young woman in an exotic, turban-like headscarf glancing back at the viewer—her luminous pearl earring capturing the spotlight.

One of the event’s highlights was a charming cross-cultural exhibit that playfully reimagined Girl with a Pearl Earring featuring beloved character Miffy the bunny, creating a whimsical fusion of Dutch fine art and children’s pop culture.

Chan and Uijttenhout also shared the powerful story behind the Dutch slogan Stop deKindermoord (Stop the Child Murder), which became a street protest movement in the 1970s following the tragic deaths of over 400 children in traffic accidents in a single year. This sparked a nationwide push for transportation reform, prompting the Dutch government to redesign roads with a human-centered and sustainable safety approach. These efforts led to a dramatic reduction in traffic fatalities, making the Netherlands one of the safest countries in the world in terms of road safety.

In her talk titled Stepping into the Soul of French Culture, Patricia Lopes explored how France’s cultural identity has been shaped by its founding values of liberty, equality, and fraternity. This deep-rooted heritage has fostered a strong national pride and a confident embrace of culture. The French love to engage in lively discussion, value critical thinking, and prioritize quality of life and personal expression. Everyday gestures—like greeting one another with a warm Bonjour or exchanging cheek kisses—are rich reflections of this cultural philosophy.

Lopes noted that cuisine is the indispensable soul of French culture. From a simple breakfast of croissants and black coffee to elaborate multi-course lunches and dinners, meals in France are not only a gastronomic experience but also a vital social ritual—an opportunity for conversation, connection, and cultural exchange. French cuisine embraces a wide range of flavors with confidence and curiosity, from wine and cheese to more adventurous dishes like frog legs, calf’s head, tripe, escargots, and wild hare. Lopes also introduced the audience to French table etiquette, the art of wine pairing, and the close relationship between regional identity and local cuisine, showing how in France, eating has evolved into an everyday form of artistic expression.

Beyond the keynote talks, the event featured immersive cultural experiences from both France and the Netherlands. The French Chanson Duet opened the program with the classic C'est si bon, performed by Nicolas Drouet, adjunct lecturer in Tamkang University as well as Chinese Culture University where he teaches in the French Department, and Soochow University where he teaches in the Music Department, accompanied on the accordion by Vincent Tsai, guest lecturer at University of Taipei. Beyond offering a comfortable living environment, it also enhances the surrounding landscape, contributing to Taipei’s goal of becoming a more livable city.

According to Xiao Zhi-long, Chief of the Public Works Division at the New Construction Office of Taipei’s Public Works Department, the site was previously the R16 surface parking lot in the Nangang Economic and Trade Park. It is located next to the Nangang Software Park to the east, with Nangang Vocational High School and Nangang Elementary School to the west and north, and an urban renewal unit to the south. The site is within a 10-minute walking distance of both Nangang MRT Station and Nangang Software Park Station. Additionally, there are multiple buses running along Nangang Road, contributing to a well-developed transportation network and convenient amenities in the area. The project’s design is based on the Eastern District Gateway Project and the Nangang Urban Green Corridor, aiming to stimulate urban renewal. The residential structure is set back slightly from the road, incorporating a 4-meter-wide linear open space along its north and west sides at ground level. On the east side, a 400-square-meter open plaza connects seamlessly with nearby streets, creating a shared public space. The building's street-facing part aligns with the urban scale of the Nangang Economic and Trade Park, featuring open-frame structures to reduce visual mass and create dynamic framed views. Meanwhile, the interior design uses tiered setbacks and linear, horizontal balconies to enhance depth and layering. Additionally, vertically staggered open spaces and rooftop greenery introduce leisure areas into different floors, fostering interaction among residents.

According to Huang Jia-wei, Director of the Nangang Public Works Office of the New Construction Office, the Nangang Jingmao Section Public Housing Project was designed and overseen by hap+4creative, with Streamline Engineering Consultant Company responsible for seismic monitoring. Construction was undertaken by a joint team comprising Tong Ying Construction Co., Ltd., Texin Electrical and Mechanical Co., Ltd., and Vatican Queensland Cooling Co. Together, a 12-story above-ground and 3-story underground public housing complex with parking facilities was completed. The project faced challenges from the outset, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as industry-wide labor and material shortages throughout the construction period. Nevertheless, through the relentless efforts of the construction team, the project steadily moved forward. In the end, all obstacles were overcome and the design was brought to life, making it a truly commendable accomplishment.

Huang Jia-wei added that every residential unit is designed to ensure adequate ventilation and natural lighting while minimizing wasted space to maximize efficiency. The building features a rooftop urban farm, sunshade grilles, LED lighting, eco-friendly green materials, and a rainwater recycling system. It is expected to receive several certifications, including the Silver-Level Green Building Label, Silver-Level Intelligent Building Label, Structure Accreditation Building Label, and Accessible Housing Label. More than just a residential complex, this social housing project plays a key role in advancing sustainable development, policy initiatives, and environmental responsibility.

<a class="fancybox-buttons" rel="fancybox-thumb" title="Image 1. Li led the attendees in a prayer for a successful project, hoping it would be completed on schedule and safe for all personnel and equipment.

Chief Hsiao Chih-lung of the Public Works, New Construction Office noted that Taipei Municipal Heping High School, as the only municipal school in Da’an District offering both junior and senior high education, faces challenges with outdated facilities and limited space. To improve the educational environment, the city government has launched a construction project to build a teaching building that includes a two-story underground parking lot and a five-story educational facility designed as a multi-functional complex. The design and supervision of the project have been entrusted to Y. C. Chiu Architects & Associates, with the dove of peace as the design concept, echoing the school's educational philosophy of self-exploration, caring for society, global awareness, and lifelong learning. The new building aims to foster globally capable students equipped with interdisciplinary skills and will provide a safe and comfortable space, with amenities like a library, contemporary classrooms, and a welcoming administrative area for both students and staff.

Director Tien Shih-chen of the Zhongzheng Public Works Office under the New Construction Office added that the project began on March 29, 2023, with a construction period of 1,290 calendar days and is expected to be completed by November 2026. This building is set to be a new educational highlight in Taipei, offering a top-notch learning environment while also fostering community development and addressing local parking needs. The ceremony included prayers for the project's success, the safety of all workers, and the smooth operation of the machinery.

Currently, the Dahu Station of the Fire Department is at No. 5, Section 5, Chenggong Road, where it shares space with the Dahu Police Department, leading to overcrowding. Given the overcrowding situation and aging facilities, the Fire Department sought a new office. In 2010, Village Chief Hsieh Ming-I of Xiuhu Village initiated the project with the assistance of Legislator Huang Shan-Shan (then-council member) in coordinating. Later, council member Li Chien-Chang and Legislator Lin Kuo-Cheng (then-council member) conducted an on-site inspection. And through support and concerted efforts from Speaker Tai Hsi-Chin, Vice Speaker Yeh Lin-Chuan, and council members Yu Shu-Hui, Lin Yen-Feng, Chen Yu-Chen, Li Ming-Hsien, He Meng-Hua, Chueh Mei-Sha, Wang Hsiao-Wei, and Wu Shih-Cheng, a site adjacent to Dahu Park MRT Station was eventually finalized. The new building will address local needs, improve firefighter working conditions, and boost disaster response efficiency.

According to Hsiao Chih-Lung, Chief of the Public Works Section, New Construction Office, Public Works Bureau, Taipei City Government, W.Y Chen Architect & Associates is responsible for designing and overseeing the project. The building will be a reinforced concrete structure with five floors above ground and one below. It will be built to a seismic resistance to intensities of 1.5, which is higher than typical private buildings, ensuring it can effectively serve as a key force for disaster response and safeguard the safety and properties of citizens at all times. The design includes a band-like, uncovered sidewalk along the street, with layers of plants at the rear of the building on Lane 120, Dahu Shanzhuang Street, to improve the surrounding environment. Considering the connection between Section 5, Chenggong Road and the main road at the front, the layout of the building is planned by creating separate entrances and exits for the fire station, underground parking, and emergency vehicles. This setup allows firefighters to quickly mobilize for disaster response using fireman's poles at stairways from their respective dorms and standby areas on each floor.

Director Huang Chia-Wei of Nangang Branch, Public Works Section, New Construction Office noted that in regard to the building's appearance, the facade is inspired by the concept of a square exterior and a round interior. “Square” represents the strength and resilience of firefighters, while “round” reflects friendliness, care, and diversity, shown through the metal grille panels within the framework. The base of the facade and walls are primarily finished with raw concrete, complemented by colorful vertical metal sunshades, symbolizing the station’s commitment to safeguarding citizens and public order. In regard to energy efficiency, the design follows green building concepts, featuring sunshades on the exterior, solar panels on the roof, and a green roof to inhibit the transfer of heat by thermal radiation and lower indoor temperatures. The building has earned Green Building Candidate Certificate - Gold and Intelligent Building Candidate Certificate - Bronze.

Huang Chia-Wei added that the new building is essential for both the safety of firefighters and the quality of public service. Once completed, the modern and accessible fire station will offer an improved working environment and better emergency response capabilities, boosting firefighters' performance in disaster response and public service.

Inauguration ceremony of the Liugong Green Corridor on July 16

On the evening of July 16, 2024, Mayor Chiang Wan-An led related personnel to preside over the inauguration ceremony of the Liugong Green Corridor. The site of the Liugong Green Corridor Pedestrian Environment Improvement Project, located at Lane 135, Section 1, Fuxing South Road, Taipei City, in the heart of the East District commercial area, offers Taipei citizens a new, high-quality, human oriented recreational space. The new commercial area features an improved environment and quality and aims to revitalize the area, enhancing the leisure experience for citizens.

According to Hsiao Chih-Lung, the head of the Public Works Section, New Construction Office, Public Works Bureau, Taipei City Government, this project site was formerly part of the natural formation of the Da Wan River Channel in the Shangpi area. In 1979, it was integrated into the urban planning project as a water channel in the back alley of Zhongxiao East Road, before being transformed into a parking space in 1985, with the flourishing commercial development on Zhongxiao East Road, Sections 3 and 4 of Zhongxiao East Road emerged as a vibrant commercial area in the Eastern District. However, located behind the Far Eastern SOGO Taipei Zhongxiao Store, this site merely served as an auxiliary space for the commercial area. As part of the Taipei City Government's efforts to improve public spaces and the human oriented environment in the Eastern District, and in alignment with the Eastern District Development and Revitalization Project launched by the Department of Urban Development in 2019, street reevaluation and city block reconstruction were carried out. The New Construction Office was responsible for the design and construction of this site, with the core concepts of creating a human oriented pedestrian environment and connecting green corridors in the Eastern District to redefine the site’s longstanding negative image.

Wang Ming-Hui, the Director of the South District, Public Works Section, noted that the project commenced on August 1, 2023, and was completed on June 30, 2024. The key improvements included creating a crossing on Fuxing South Road to link Liugongzun Park and integrating Lane 135, Section 1, Fuxing South Road, with the central green corridor. The project improved the previously narrow pedestrian space, removed an inconvenient parking lot, and elevated the road on the south side to integrate with the central green corridor. This created a diverse and accessible space featuring newly planted 132.21 square meters of shrubs, 427.86 square meters of ground cover, and 17 trees, transforming it into an urban ecological oasis. The area was enhanced with new seating and street furniture to offer a comfortable space for pedestrians. Three mist rings were installed to boost the green environment, with water ripple lighting and mist facilities at night, recreating the Da Wan River hydrological image. The result is a pedestrian plaza that prioritizes people, resilience, and a sense of intellectual engagement, making the overall pedestrian environment even more user-friendly.

Finally, Wang Ming-Hui noted that the green corridor is now open to the public and that it will connect Liugongzun Park to the west and Liugong Park to the east, stretching to Dinghao and Longmen Plaza. This forms a linear green corridor in the heart of the Eastern District commercial area, enhancing open spaces and tightly integrating the metropolitan commercial area of the Eastern District. It is hoped that local foot traffic will be improved, and that various creative activities within the Eastern District commercial zone will be integrated, gradually attracting people back and revitalizing the area's bustling atmosphere.
