Lost property can be claimed at the service counter of each TAPO venue within 15 days. Items that are not claimed within that time will be handled in accordance with the “Operational Directions for Disposal of Lost Property Belonging to Taipei City by Taipei City Government Agencies and Schools” and “Operational Directions for Lost Property at the Department of Cultural Affairs of Taipei City Government and its Subordinate Agencies.” 

To pick up lost property, please call in advance to confirm and show your personal identification at pickup. If the person making the pickup is not the owner and it is valuable item, the person making the pickup should show their personal identification and go through the lost property collection process.

Printed copies can be viewed at TAPO branches (Arts Building, Metropolitan Hall, Wenshan Theater, Dadaocheng Theater), social education units, and city library branches. 1. The date and session of the performance, description of the item, location that it was found/lost, and the name of the finder are entered into the register.

Convenience store: Ticket purchase/collection services are available at 7-ELEVEN and FamilyMart convenience stores (seating is automatically allocated by the system. Up to 8 tickets can be purchased per order. NT$10 service fee applies for each ticket). 

Ticket Counters: The northern, central, southern and Kaohsiung offices of National Theater & Concert Hall; please refer to the opentix "Service Locations” web page for information on ticket agents.

Dadaocheng Theater 9F: Total seating capacity is 506 including 6 handicapped (wheelchair-accessible) seats and 6 handicapped companion seats.

What are the School Concert series(“育藝深遠”音樂會)hosted by the Taipei Symphony Orchestra (TSO)?

Combining education with culture, the "School Concert" series has been warmly received by student and parents.Under the "School Concert" series, every fifth grade elementary school students in Taipei city can watch live symphony orchestra performances. A total of 361,137 students went to concert halls to listen to live classical music at 300 concerts performed between September 2005 and June 2015. The project integrating art and education has been popular since its debut with frequent positive feedback after each concert. Teachers generally acknowledged the program for the current academic year, saying it helped students learn more about each musical instrument in a symphony orchestra. Meanwhile, students wrote down their impressions and thoughts on the concerts in their reports. Some drew the instruments that left the deepest impression on them while others left messages on TSO's on-line bulletin board to express their support and gratitude for the activities. A number of schools and parents from other cities and counties learned about the program from media reports and asked TSO by telephone if their children could attend these marvelous musical events.

1. A Taipei City household certificate or a transcript of Taipei City household certificate with a remaining validity period of at least three months. Visit one of our Reading Sections to apply.

2. Fill out an application form and apply at the counter along with the required documents.

3. After the application form and required documents have been examined and determined to be correct by a Library clerk, a file will be created and a Family Library Card will be issued on the spot. (* Cardholders shall apply to have a change made to their cards if their information changes.)

* When applying for a Family Library Card, other than the household number shown on the household certificate, all information given on the application form should be in accord with the head of the household's personal information.

(I) Personal Library Card (Starting from July 1^st, 2019 in accordance to government policy, the library will no longer issue material cards.)

EasyCard for Library (including a Digital Student Identity Card)
The card may be used at the Main Library, the branches, the neighborhood reading rooms, and the intelligent libraries. Applicants must possess an EasyCard. EasyCard for Library cannot serve as a Family Library Card.

Solution: Though notifications informing users of the arrival of books reserved are sent via a host different from those informing them of failure to pick up books reserved by a specified date, they are all sent with a subject of "Taipei Public Library Notice". You are advised to use Outlook or Webmail's mail rules/automatic sorting feature to have emails with a subject of "Taipei Public Library Notice" automatically placed in a folder named "Public Library Notifications" to reduce the chances of emails being deleted by mistake. Our testing shows that if you enable your email service's automatic sorting feature, like registered letters, your emails are more likely to be received and at a faster speed.

Taipei Free: In coordination with the Taipei Free Public Wireless Internet Access program (Taipei-Free), the Library engaged the outsourced service provider Global Mobile Corp. to install Wi-Fi access points in our branches throughout the city in late June 2011 (Taipei Free). On July 1, free public wireless Internet was simultaneously launched in municipal buildings and many indoor locations throughout the city.

Yes. Use the "Nationwide Document Delivery System" to locate the periodical you are looking for. Apply online to have it printed out for you. Alternatively, ask a Library clerk for an application form. Fill it out and give it to the clerk. Pay attention to the following before submitting an application:

1. Make sure the Library does not have what you are looking for in its collection: Search for it in the Library's collection catalog system.

2. You have to possess a Library card before you are permitted to apply for inter-library service.

3. If you apply online, you have to register for a personal account number. After it is authenticated by the system, you can submit an application through the "Nationwide Document Delivery System".
