[Unemployment Compensation] Do I need to pay income tax for various unemployment benefits?
According to the Order Letter No. 0920454711 issued by the Ministry of Finance on July 14, 2003, “The unemployment benefits, subsidies for finding jobs earlier, vocational training allowances, and National Health Insurance subsidies for unemployed insurees specified under the Employment Insurance Act may be exempted from income tax according to Item 7 of Paragraph 1 of Article 4 of the Income Tax Act.”
