Why does the train sometimes accelerate, decelerate or stop between stations?
Under normal conditions, trains are operated on automatic mode. A train's acceleration, deceleration or stopping is controlled by train computers. In case of an emergency, the train will immediately be stopped outside of a station by either the train operator or the system. Generally, if one train is too close to another train, the signal computer will control the trains' speed to recover a safe distance. If the previous train has not yet departed the station, the following train will stop outside the station.
