Can I use a Transit QR Code (乘車碼) to ride the Metro and still get the TPASS 2.0 or TPASS 2.0+ Frequent Rider rebate?
The TPASS 2.0 and TPASS 2.0+ Public Transportation Frequent Rider Discounts are promotional programs launched by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOC). According to the program’s official website, three Transit QR Codes (乘車碼) are currently participating in the program: Easy Wallet, iPASS MONEY, and icash Pay. These three Transit QR Codes are also accepted by Taipei Metro. Eligible passengers using any of the above QR Codes to take the Taipei Metro can enjoy the same discounts offered under the MOC’s Public Transportation Frequent Rider Discount program.
