Dalong Market Launches Modern Temperature Controlled Supply Chain for Fresh Domestic Meat Products
After a soft-opening on November 5, Taipei City Dalong Market will officially open on December13, and market vendors have cooperated with the government’s policies on temperature-controlled equipment for fresh food ingredients, the banning of melamine tableware, and the introduction of diverse e-payment methods.
In order to preserve the freshness of meat products, many butchers in the market have joined the modern temperature-controlled supply chain for fresh domestic meat products launched by the National Association of Chinese Livestock and Meat Producers (hereafter referred to as the Livestock and Meat Association). In addition to temperature control facilities (including temperature-controlled display cabinets, stainless steel workstations, and toxin-free plastic or stone cutting boards, etc.), their quality is also controlled by the city government and the Livestock and Meat Association, offering consumers absolute peace of mind when purchasing and consuming their products!
After Dalong Market’s reconstruction, it was reopened with a brand-new appearance; besides retaining the hospitable ambiance of traditional markets, it also features new modern services and equipment. On December 7, the Livestock and Meat Association launched a campaign to promote the modern temperature-controlled supply chain for fresh domestic meat products, hoping to increase the exposure of butchers that have installed modern temperature-controlled facilities among the public through this public event, so that the safety of meats from the transformed traditional market will be recognized by more consumers! Taipei City Government will continue to promote temperature-controlled fresh food ingredients among markets currently undergoing reconstruction in order to ensure peace of mind among citizens.
Dalong Market will officially open at 10:00 on December 13 to provide consumers with a cleaner, healthier, and more convenient shopping environment, and where everyone is welcome. During the opening period, shoppers who have taken photos of the fresh food they purchased and uploaded them to social media with hashtags #WhatToEatTonight or #ComeToDalongMarketForAbsoluteFreshness will receive a limited edition Dalong Market hipster-style canvas shopping bag. During the opening week (December 13-20), shoppers who have made e-payments of NT$1,500 or more in the Dalong Market will also be able to obtain a limited-edition shopping bag by presenting the certificate of payment! Meanwhile, a special discount will be available for users of TaiwanPay e-payment. The multitude of promotional offers are designed to let the public experience the joy and energy of Dalong Market’s official opening.
To encourage shoppers to make use of e-payment, TaiwanPay has unveiled special offers during the opening period of Dalong Market.
