Must Try Taipei Snacks Recommended via LINE ON AIR Event
What is the “must try” Taipei snack that you would recommend to a foreigner?
During the LINE ON AIR event on February 26, the city invited the public to provide Taipei snack suggestions through the official LINE account. In the duration of an hour, the event attracted 64,315 participants and generated 5,692 messages. In the end of the event, Xiaolongbao was ranked the most recommended Taipei snack with 18% votes, followed by Stinky tofu and Beef noodle soup with 12% and 10% votes respectively.
Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT) Commissioner Chien Yu-yen noted that with Taipei tourist arrivals set to reach the ten million mark, the city aims to create a friendly and welcoming environment.
Aside from the top 3 Taipei snacks recommended during the LINE ON AIR event, more were recommended including Oyster omelet, Braised pork over rice, Oyster vermicelli, Fried chicken fillet, Bubble tea, Mango shaved ice, Pig’s blood cake, Bowl rice cake, Sishen soup, and Small sausage in large sausage. From the variety of snacks suggested, it is safe to say that Taipei is a world-class city for food.
