Taipei City Fire Department Held the Disaster Prevention Tour on Double Ninth Festival at ChengGong Community
The Taipei City Fire Department and the Da An District Chun-Ying Village Office held a Disaster Prevention Tour at the ChengGong Community Square on October 5th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.. The activities not only included a variety of stage shows from the Village Office but also had various disaster prevention themed booths. They hoped that the people would gain more knowledge of disaster prevention and fire safety. Everyone was welcomed to participate this event.
The Taipei City Fire Department stated that according to the fire incident statistics, the most common fire incidents were taken place in congregate housing and mostly resulted from inappropriate cooking and improper use of home appliances. Through the Tour, the people would gain more knowledge on disaster prevention and emergency response. Besides, the Fire Department wanted to emphasize on the utility of the “Video 119 APP”. The app has plenty of remarkable features including precisely locating the case reporter for firefighters to reach emergency sites in shorter time. The App also provides online first-aid instructions through live streaming for operators to realize the on-site conditions. “Taipei City Mobile Disaster Prevention APP” will let the people use their phones to gain information on typhoon, earthquake, weather, rainfall, and various situations. Also it is very useful for planning outdoor activities. “Disaster Prevention Taipei” e-book is a great method to learn more knowledge of disaster prevention.
