Promoting "Social Welfare-Medical Co-Stations: Assistive Devices on the Go” Service Sites to Enhance Integrated Service Accessibility
Beginning in February 2026, the Taipei City Department of Social Welfare prioritized administrative districts without assistive device centers and, in collaboration with the Renai, Zhongxiao, and Yangming Branches of Taipei City Hospital, established assistive device service sites. Professional device assessors, at weekly scheduled times, provide services including consultations and assessment of assistive devices. The department will continue to evaluate the feasibility of gradually expanding these service sites to other branches of Taipei City Hospital based on service volume, public demand, and implementation outcomes, with the aim of further enhancing the accessibility and capacity of the assistive device services.
