Park at the bottom of the mountain during the Flower Festival to enjoy parking concession
To encourage the public to make use of public transportation during the Yangmingshan Flower Festival, Taipei City Parking Management and Development Office has introduced some incentives for the public from February 7, 2015, till the end of the Festival. The public may park their vehicles at Fulin Park underground car park, and get their parking ticket stamped with the parking concession chop at the “Flower Festival Shuttle Service Center” of Yangmingshan, to enjoy 3 hours of free parking for small vehicles, and free parking for motorcycles on the same day.
The Parking Management and Development Office said that most general buses and Flower Festival shuttle buses that go to Yangmingshan pass by the Fulin Park underground car park on Shilin’s Zhongzheng Road (the bus stop “Fulin Elementary School stop” is located on Zhongzheng Road, see map). The public may park their vehicles there and board a bus to Yangmingshan. To encourage the public to make use of public transport, the Parking Management and Development Office provides parking incentives where the first 3 hours of parking is free, and then the normal rate will apply from the 4th hour onwards (small vehicle NTD 30 per hour), while motorcycles can enjoy free parking. The public is reminded to obtain their parking tickets from the Fulin Park underground car park, and transfer to a public bus to any of the 3 bus stops, which are Yangmingshan, 2nd car park and Yangmingshan Visitor Center, and get their tickets stamped with the parking concession chop at the “Flower Festival Shuttle Bus Service Center” on the same day in order to enjoy the above concessions. The Parking Management and Development Office said that although there are 244 small vehicle parking spaces at the Fulin Park underground car park, the number is still limited. For better comfort and convenience, the public is recommended to make use of the Flower Festival Shuttle to Yangmingshan to enjoy the Flower Festival.
