Voices from Taipei: Public Forum for Gender Equality

One year into the operation of the Office for Gender Equality (OGE) and expansion of Taipei Association for the Promotion of Women’s Rights (TAPWR), Taipei City Government, a dedicated champion of female wellbeing for the last two decades, is seeking citizens’ advice and feedback through “Voices from Taipei: Public Forum for Gender Equality” to stride ahead in the area of gender equality.

The forum will see officials outline Taipei City’s gender egalitarian plan, discuss particular aspects of that plan with experts and civic groups and, more importantly, collect opinions from the attendees. The mayor and his staff will then give a definitive response to citizens’ inquiries or advice and conclude the forum, defined as a city-specific gender justice conference that inspires improved government policies to further meet the need for equality.
