Taipei Pictorial July Issue Presents “Water Fun at Riverside Parks”
What do you do under the blazing sun of July? Why not visit the riverside parks! Published by Taipei City Government Department of Information and Tourism (TPEDOIT), the July Issue of Taipei Pictorial spotlights the “Riverside Music Festival”.
According to Acting Chief Zhong Ling-ling from TPEDOIT Media Relations and Publications Division, this issue’s cover story includes three sections: “A trip to Dihua Old Street” takes readers on a trip through Dadaocheng to visit old shops, regenerated spaces, and popular temples; “Water Fun in Taipei” promotes upcoming riverside events such as Xikou Wharf Music Festival, water fun experience near Keelung River, and activities at waterpark in Dajia Riverside Park; and “Clean and Beautiful Rivers in Taipei” entails the City’s efforts in keeping the rivers clean.
The “Taipei Focus” section discusses recent events. The City works hard to safeguard residents during Typhoon seasons. The dust explosion accident demonstrates the importance of public safety measures and facilities at major events. TPEDOIT will soon collaborate with related agencies to enact laws on public safety during major events. Shezidao redevelopment also took its first step by creating communication channels with residents and local communities through outdoor seminars.
The “Fun Taipei” section introduces a day trip in Bade Commercial District. The itinerary comprises shops for IT products, creativity, and entertainment. Another day trip featured in the section offers a tour in Taipei’s south district to experience Bohemian hipster living style.
Copies of the monthly magazine are available at Taipei City Hall, the 12 district offices, health centers, Taipei Public Library and its branches, MRT Stations, Taipei City Hospital, and tourist centers around the country.
