Huazhong Bridge Motorcycle Lane to Reopen June 30
The motorcycle lane (for Taipei-bound traffic) on Huazhong Bridge is set to reopen at 9 AM on Saturday, June 30. The facility has remained closed for nearly one year for overhaul.
The motorcycle lane helps to alleviate the overwhelming vehicle traffic in the section between Huazhong Bridge and the ramp at Fuming Road that connects with Shuiyuan Expressway – especially for those heading in the direction of Gongguan, Jiangquo Expressway, and Xindien area.
Together with the new pedestrian walkway and cycling lane which have been refurbished in 2017, Huazhong Bridge will bring different experience for road users with its new pavements and renovated guardrails.
The construction of an additional automobile ramp is slated for completion by the end of 2018. Upon completion, traffic around Wanda First Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Market, as well as those along the lane on Fuming Road bounded for Shuiyuan Expressway, will have an easier time.
The New Construction Office reminds road users to be aware of speed limits and possible route adjustments.
