Starting from the Discovery center of Taipei, students will learn about Taipei city in all directions. It will help students to learn about their hometown Taipei, as well as to recognize volunteering service. Through the professional training, students will be able to introduce Taipei integrating their life experience and observations.
The camp is from 10/17 to 11/1 with 10 tiers, 300 spots in total. Registration starts today until it reaches the limit number of applicants. Each person is limited to attend only one tier. The camp includes visiting Discovery center of Taipei, and on-field-visit other places. Following instructors, students will visit Taipei towards all four directions: towards East to the old house Qingtian 76, which is full of old stories; towards West to the Red House, Taiwan's first public market and the most well-preserved class III historical site; towards South to Nanmen Park of National Taiwan Museum, introducing Taiwan's famous camphor industry; towards North to visit National Palace Museum and Taiwan Fine Arts Museum, where these places treasure thousands-years-long Chinese culture and modern arts. In addition to historical fact, students will learn tour guiding skills, with senior volunteer tour guides sharing their tour guiding experience. Furthermore, there will be games to help students become more familiar with Discovery center of Taipei.
