How would you like to take part in the upcoming Universiade?

During the LINE ON AIR event on March 6, Taipei City Government (TCG) surveyed the best ways to partake in Taipei Universiade through its official LINE account. In the duration of an hour, the event attracted 63,942 participants and generated 3,041 messages. In the end, votes show that being a Universiade volunteer was ranked the best way to participate with 31.5% votes, followed by being a sideline cheerleader and being a torch runner, with 27.4% and 14.5% votes respectively.

Deputy Mayor Chou Li-fang noted that the Taipei Universiade is not only a stage for athletes, but also an occasion offering the public an opportunity to be a part of a major international competition.

She noted that there are many ways to participate in the Universiade, ranging from promoting the event through words of mouth to serving as a Universiade volunteer, a torch runner, a sideline cheerleader, and a promotion ambassador. The city encourages the public to participate in the event and to help make Taipei an energetic and welcoming city.
TCG’s official account on LINE has accumulated more than 379,000 friends. The City’s LINE friends are eligible to participate in the TCG’s monthly ON AIR events for sweepstakes. Taipei residents are encouraged to friend TCG official account on LINE by searching for ID “@taipei”.
